Tournament Rules

The tournament committee expects all players to play their games on the first Thursday of the month. If any player cannot play on this date they must contact both their opponent and the tournament committee so that the game can be rearranged within 2 weeks from the scheduled date.

Half point byes are acceptable providing the player informs the tournament committee prior to the draw being made.

Players not wishing to complete all their games must inform the tournament committee prior to the draw being made.

If a player arrives to play the scheduled game at 7.30 on the first Thursday of the month and the opponent  has not arrived by 8.00 and not arranged an alternate date then the game can be claimed by default..

The tournament committee also requests a clear and accurate copy of the game played - duplicate score sheets are available at the Club.
